Legrand India, the foremost electrical and digital infrastructure solution provider, has announced its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Nashik, which is a major achievement in the company's growth strategy. This new plant covers over 30,000 square meters and is one of the largest plants of Legrand in the world and the largest in India.
The plant will specialize in the manufacture of basic parts, including busbar trunking systems, distribution boards, racks, Cablofil cable trays, and industrial plugs and sockets. It significantly focuses on providing innovative solutions to the fast-growing market of data centers, which is one of the major strategic priorities of Legrand on a global scale.
“This project reflects the dedication of our teams and partners, and our continued focus on building long-term capabilities in India,” said Tony Berland, CEO and Managing Director, Group Legrand India, during the inauguration.

Such growth confirms the presence of Legrand India in the data center market, which is achieved both through organic growth and acquisitive strategies, such as NetRack, which allows the integrated solution of both power distribution and digital infrastructure.
The facility also exhibits how Legrand is keen on being green, as the plant has a green building with an IGBC-certified, 1-megawatt solar energy facility on its roof, and a policy of zero liquid discharge (ZLD).
This new plant is a significant milestone in the quest of Legrand India to advance its capacities and help in the increasing infrastructural demands of India.
