According to NITI Aayog, the healthcare sector in India is expected to become worth $372 billion by 2022, growing at a CAGR of 22 per cent. Out of the several segments of healthcare industry, hospital equipment and supplies market is growing at the fastest rate owing to the growing number of hospitals. Furthermore, other factors such as the spread of telemedicine and improvement in healthcare facilities are also fueling this market growth. However, the introduction of personalized medicines concepts, stringent regulations led by governments, growing awareness and familiarity of home care services, and some of the other diagnostics options which are available in the market are some of the major factors that are restraining the growth of the hospital equipment and supplies market.
Today, hospitals and other healthcare facilities are faced with challenges in providing a timely and accurate flow of information between applications and systems, which comprise discrete medical applications and systems such as Central Nurse Communication system, Patient monitoring, etc. Each of these applications not only simplifies the workflow process but also enhances the ability to render superior patient care. While vital medical equipment and technology systems are already placing huge demands on the communication infrastructures within the healthcare facilities, there are chances of the condition worsening as more and more new applications are added every day. Therefore, the demand placed on these infrastructures would either adversely affect the day-to-day performance of the healthcare operations or would cripple it.
Thus, it is highly imperative for Hospital infrastructure products and service providers to offer high-quality and cost-effective hospital infrastructure products to clients that meet their requirements. Not just that, these solution providers must also ensure that the design, supply, and installations of hospital infrastructure products manufactured and supplied are of the highest standards of excellence, not only meeting but exceeding all established industry standards for performance and reliability. Furthermore, clients today expect on-time project completions, high-quality equipment at a competitive price, and the best after-sales support service from their solution providers.

Renovation of ICU Block for one of the most renowned hospitals in India
AIIMS, New Delhi wanted to upgrade its Intensive Care Unit (ICU), hence it approached PES Installations for solutions. The HOD of AIIMS, New Delhi stated that the pendants in the ICU should also be installed. But unfortunately, the pendants cannot be installed owing to their weight and also the ceilings are not strong, stated the engineers.
This is when PES Installations came to the rescue of the hospital and informed the HOD that the panels can still be installed, without touching the roof and there won’t be any load on the ceiling as well. The engineer stated that the structure must be authenticated. Agreeing upon this, PES came up with its architectural plan for the renovation of the ICU block and proposed for new steel column and beam steel frame structures and also got it authenticated from the structural engineer and submitted it to the hospital. After the approval, PES installed 10 such technical pendant systems, each weighing more than 200 kilograms. The Hospital and the Engineers of AIIMS appreciated the efforts and innovative solutions offered by PES.
