Union Home Minister Amit Shah will launch 46 projects totaling more than Rs 4,000 crore on September 30 to revive the Yamuna, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Wednesday.
During the Sewa Pakhwada, she was addressing at the opening of six cutting-edge switching sub-stations at important Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus depots.
Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has established one switching sub-station in North Delhi, while BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) has established five in South and West Delhi. During her speech, Gupta emphasized the government's many accomplishments and mentioned that interstate bus service between Delhi and Baraut had been introduced the day before, after an 18-year lapse.

"Okhla STP, which is Asia's largest STP, will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Forty-six schemes worth Rs 4,000 crore will be dedicated in one day. These will include multiple STPs," she added. Delhi has been in poor shape for the past few years, according to the chief minister.
"There were no sewer lines, no water connections in half of Delhi. There is a backlog of 27 years and it will take some time to repair. Our policy and intention are clear," she added.
