Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has announced that it has secured an order exceeding Rs 6,650 crore from NTPC for the implementation of an EPC package at the Darlipali Supercritical Thermal Power Project Stage-II located in Sundargarh district, Odisha.
The Notification of Award (NoA) was received on 6 November 2025, and the order encompasses the design, engineering, supply of equipment, erection and commissioning, along with associated civil works for the 1x800 MW supercritical thermal power unit. The company anticipates that the completion of facilities (COF) will occur within 48 months from the date of the Notification of Award.
BHEL has clarified that both itself and NTPC are Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and that this transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction.
