The Indian construction and mining equipment market is predicted to grow threefold to 45 billion dollars by 2030, and therefore, another subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), has presented a new range of heavy-duty BharatBenz trucks with a high-performance configuration to meet the booming infrastructure projects. The introduction comprises the HX and the Torqshift Series, specifically designed in line with the rising demand in the country due to the fast growth rate of the construction and mining industries.
"These models—2828C HX, 3532C HX, 2832CM, and 3532CM—have undergone intensive field testing across India’s toughest terrains. India’s infrastructure and mining sectors continue to be core pillars of our operations. We’re witnessing a major fleet modernization wave as contractors invest in reliable assets for long-term efficiency,” said Satyakam Arya, MD and CEO, DICV.
The HX trucks boast up to 320 hp and 1250 Nm torque, delivering best-in-class gradeability—60% for 2828C and 54% for 3532C. Features like Hill Hold Assist, aerodynamic deflectors, and driver state monitoring underscore DICV’s safety-first design approach. For mining environments, the Torqshift Series offers AMT-enabled gear transitions and rugged durability.
“We’ve reengineered key systems to reduce maintenance, increase payload, and significantly improve driver safety,” said Pradeep Kumar Thimmaiyan, President & CTO at DICV.
Available through 385 dealerships nationwide, BharatBenz also offers predictive maintenance, real-time diagnostics, and up to 15,000-hour AMC support, reinforcing its position as a key enabler in India’s infrastructure transformation.
