Today, HCL Technologies’ Chairman Shiv Nadar has stepped down from his position and nominated her daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra as the new Chairman of HCL Technologies.
This was announced at a regulatory filing on Friday. Roshni Nadar Malhotra, who was Non-Executive Director and the CEO of the company.
“Shiv Nadar would continue to be the Managing Director of the Company with the designation as the Chief Strategy Officer of the Company,” HCL Technologies said in a statement.
As the only child of HCL's founder, Shiv Nadar, Roshni was ranked 54th on the Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women list. While if we go with IIFL Wealth India Rich List (2019), Roshni Nadar is the richest woman in India.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, Shiv Nadar is the 81st richest man in the world with a net worth of Rs 16.3 billion.
