Bajel Projects Limited reported that it has bagged a large Rs. 100 crore to Rs. 200 crore order from a leading private player in the power and energy transmission sector. Internally, the order is of the company's 'large' size and further solidifies Bajel's position in the high-voltage power infrastructure space.
The job involves the construction of two substation items of equipment — a 400 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) and an expansion of a 765 kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS). The contract involves supply of Extra High Voltage (EHV) equipment, including spares, tools, and auxiliaries as required. Besides, Bajel will also carry out erection, testing, and commissioning (ETC), and civil work for the supplied material and equipment.
Describing the new contract, Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and CEO of Bajel Projects, stated, "We are highly delighted to win this enormous order from one of the leading private players in the power and energy transmission business. This project further establishes our onus‐bearing ability to undertake high‐end substation infrastructure. It is a testament to our customers' trust in our excellence and dedication."

This comes close on the heels of yet another big victory for Bajel Projects last week which scooped an 'ultra-mega' category order from PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), through its special purpose electric vehicle MEL Power Transmission Limited. The Rs. 400 crore plus project includes the building of a 400 kV double-circuit transmission line of 138 km Mahan to Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and extension work on 400 kV Rewa substation.
Collectively, these victories reaffirm Bajel Projects' increasing role and stature in India's evolving power transmission scene.
