
Tenders for road development projects valued at more than Rs 1,000 crore would soon be accepted, according to Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister B C Janardhan Reddy. He said that since taking office, the NDA coalition government had already invested Rs 2,500 crore in road repair projects as part of its goal to eliminate potholes in Andhra Pradesh and provide public transportation.
As part of our goal to make Andhra Pradesh a pothole free state, tenders for road construction projects valued at more than Rs 1,000 crore will soon be called, Reddy stated in a press release.
According to the minister, the TDP-led NDA government approved significant road maintenance and repair projects to rebuild the state's road infrastructure within five months of taking office.

Reddy claimed that thousands of kilometers of roads were in "poor condition" due to the previous YSRCP government's disregard of road repair between 2019 and 2024. In order to build roads without burdening the public, he continued, the government was investigating the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
Janardhan Reddy proposed using drones to evaluate the state's roads and bridges. He stated that fixing the completely damaged bridges must come first. He desired that the ten unfinished bridges be completed right away. The minister highlighted infrastructure development by proposing the construction of steel slag Eco-Pave roads in specific locations.
