Marking 10 years of the Digital India mission, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a message on social media platforms X and LinkedIn to celebrate India's digital revolution and leadership in future technology. Modi attributed the mission as a "tech renaissance," noting India's arrival into the world's top three startup ecosystems, with a cumulative strength of more than 1.8 lakh startups.
He talked of India's cost-effectiveness of digital infrastructure, citing the India AI Mission having access to 34,000 GPUs at historic lows globally, less than $1 per hour of GPU. This, he went on, not only made India the cheapest internet economy, but also a global computing superpower.
India's digital public infrastructure (DPI) systems, such as Aadhaar, CoWIN, DigiLocker, and FASTag are being watched and replicated all over the world, Modi stated. He also commended the growth of internet connectivity, asserting that connections rose from 25 crore in 2014 to over 97 crore currently. He also claimed over 42 lakh kilometers of optic fiber had connected India, including far-flung villages and border areas like Galwan and Siachen.

Speaking of speedy 5G installation 4.81 lakh towers in two years, Modi referred to it as the world's quickest installation. Speaking of Digital India as having now become a people's movement, he emphasized the transition from "digital governance to global digital leadership."
Modi ended on a positive note, stating that the coming decade would see even more revolutionary changes, positioning India at the center of global innovation.
