India beholds a substantial growth projection in renewable energy sector. The Ministry of Renewable Energy of India predicts that there will be about 175 gigawatts of renewable energy production by the year 2022. From this about 100 gigawatts would be contributed by Solar. However, imported solar panels are more popular in India mainly due to better quality feedback for lesser price of the products. Most manufacturers in India purchase raw materials required to make solar modules and assemble them in-house.
