Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared the establishment of 27 Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLCs) in 26 districts to enable speedy economic growth, enhance logistics infrastructure, and draw in foreign investment.
Spread over a 13,240-acre location, the clusters are strategically located along five major expressways. Of the total land identified for location, 9,864 acres have already been acquired, and 3,376 acres of acquisition are underway. The clusters are planned to tap into UP's robust expressway network to increase the connectivity of the industries and optimize the cost of logistics and travel time.
The IMLCs will have competitive land prices, value-added logistics facilities, and seamless multimodal connectivity with access to air, rail, and road networks, reports say. Investors will also have basic infrastructure, transparent land policies, and a skilled workforce at their disposal, designed to make the environment investor-friendly.

The smallest one will be along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway and will span a total land area of 514 acres in two districts, the Gorakhpur district (361 acres) and the Ambedkarnagar district (153 acres).
The master plan is part of the state government's master plan for developing Uttar Pradesh as a hub for industry and logistics. With industrial parks around expressways, the government aims to establish a strong infrastructure backbone that improves regional economic activity, brings in massive investments, and creates high employment avenues across industry segments.
