In today's burgeoning market dynamics, construction is going through a different churn as far as technological innovation is concerned. Where fit-outs are concerned, there are a lot of projects that work with conventional systems to hold these fitouts, that use mild-steel and heavy aluminum extrusions. These conventional systems have a lot of drawbacks. Firstly, the traditional methods increase the timelines to complete a project. Secondly, these methods are labor-intensive, which also leads to quality issues. Thirdly, these products use heavy material, there by increasing the dead load of the structure and also inflate the project cost due to heavy consumption.
This is where Nextec Drycon steps in. In line with its motto ‘Innovation is continuous improvement’, the company specializes in providing top-notch metal sub-framing systems and technical solutions to the dry construction industry, serving its valued clients with pride. Today, Nextec Drycon is known for its precision in design and delivery of bespoke ‘Indian-made’ sub-framing systems meant for usage in dry construction projects. With its promising dedication and a proven track record, Nextec Drycon is a trusted partner when it comes to supplying reliable and innovative solutions for the construction industry, mainly catering to the infrastructure and commercial segment. With it’s associated manufacturing unit in Turbhe and warehousing facility in Uran, the company ensures that deliveries are prompt and smooth for its clients. The Goregaon office in Mumbai is where the technical and support team is based. The company is registered as an MSME and holds an ISO 9001 certification.

Carving a Niche for Itself
The construction segment dealing in sub-framing systems, do not offer customized solutions to the clients. Understanding the gap, Nextec Drycon has positioned itself as a niche service provider by offering customized aluminium and steel subframing solutions for both external as well as internal fit-outs. Furthermore, the company breaks the conventional construction norms by designing and providing sub framing systems made in cold-formed steel, which is light-weight but provides the same strength as the conventional system. This reduces the overall weight of the applied material on the structure. These lightweight systems are easy to install and reduce the overall cost of construction.
Nextec Drycon has carved a name in the dry construction industry by providing key differentiators. The biggest USP of Nextec Drycon is its commitment to provide bespoke systems. The company does not hesitate to customize and adapt designs, products and systems as per client requirements ensuring a collaborative and responsive approach to meet the project requirements. Technical expertise is what makes Nextec Drycon stand apart. The team has expertise in various software and programs like Autocad, Revit, Staadpro and Navisworks.
This includes the creation of structural models and the analysis of these models based on calculations to measure the effects of loads, as well as internal forces (the structure’s own weight) and external forces (such as wind or seismic movements) that may impact the building. This process of modeling and structural analysis is carried out using programs like Staad Pro. Additionally, the company excels in drafting or converting the same structural model into 2D format using software such as AutoCAD and into 3D format using Revit. Technical solutions help in value engineering of the products.
Adding to this, the team’s seasoned professionals always ensure timely and prompt delivery of products and services to the site. Whether it's providing designs, calculations, materials or solutions, the company makes sure that it does not keep its clients waiting. The adaptable solutions provided by Nextec Drycon ensure that their systems are Installation-friendly and easy to use by the end contractor, easily adjusting to the on-site challenges faced.
End-to-End Execution
“We are a very people-centric company and believe that the expertise of the team is what helps us. It is something that will help the growth of the company”, stated Sweta. Nextec Drycon has various teams that ensure work is being split equally to ensure smooth process and functioning. The design and technical team comprise of competent structural engineers. These professionals majorly look into the entire design aspect, which are soft drawings, load and structural calculations and submissions.
Additionally, the team gets the products approved in any project. Right from the designing phase, the team looks into the challenges that occur during installation and tries to minimize it right from the start. This is followed by quality fabrication, following the guidelines of IS codes and finally meeting customer requirements.
Despite the company being suppliers and not installers, it ensures a site execution team is always on the site to help and guide the contractors with the right method of installation, making sure quality is intact in terms of installation. Any discrepancies in the installation system, leads to quick communication and alerts to the team.
The site engineers make sure that the contractors are made to undergo the quality process as per the norms of Nextec Drycon. Additionally, they make sure that the labor teams are trained, so that the contractors and supervisors know exactly what they are building at site and follow the drawings that have been approved at the client’s end. Another important aspect of the site execution team is giving feedback to the design team and explaining the challenges faced in the earlier projects. This ensures the design team incorporates the feedback to mitigate challenges in upcoming projects.
Operations and finance team take care of the entire logistics right from raw material sourcing to production planning, raising of purchase orders to the vendors, managing the production schedules, prioritizing the needs of the client as per the priorities and project commitments. Additionally, it looks into financing, creating tax invoices, e-way bills, coordinating with the CAs, compliances and returns of audits. Last but not the least, the business development team that looks into new potential projects, submit technical and commercial proposals, suggest solutions to clients and finally close the orders.
“So right from design to execution, there is a stepwise monitoring of how the entire process ensures consistency and quality of our systems that go site”, explains Menon Krishnakumar.
