Spearheading the company is Krishnakumar Menon, an engineer with an MBA and industry experience of over 23 years. Specifically, he has worked in the dry construction industry for more than 20 years, specializing in technical solutions. Dr Sweta Menon, the co-partner with an MBA and a Ph.D in marketing, offers her unparalleled skills in operations, finance and marketing.

The construction segment dealing in sub-framing systems, do not offer customized solutions to the clients. Understanding the gap, Nextec Drycon has positioned itself as a niche service provider by offering customized aluminium and steel subframing solutions for both external as well as internal fit-outs. Furthermore, the company breaks the conventional construction norms by designing and providing sub framing systems made in cold-formed steel, which is light-weight but provides the same strength as the conventional system. This reduces the overall weight of the applied material on the structure. These lightweight systems are easy to install and reduce the overall cost of construction.

Right from the designing phase, the team looks into the challenges that occur during installation and tries to minimize it right from the start. This is followed by quality fabrication, following the guidelines of IS codes and finally meeting customer requirements.

Aligning with various companies that work on an infrastructure project, like metal ceiling manufacturers and GFRG suppliers would make it easy for the company to offer its systems and products as its based in the same domain. Becoming an OEM to large companies like gypsum or fiber cement companies can prove to be useful and the company aims to pursue the same as well. The company at the moment already works in multiple cities across India like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Darjeeling, Kolkata and Bangalore. Now, it wishes to expand its wings overseas. Potential international market collaborations are also underway at UAE and Saudi Arabia and the company wishes to start supplying in this financial year. Additionally, the company plans on hitting the 100 crores turnover mark in the next five years.
