Vodafone Idea’s Vi Business which is its enterprise arm has, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT), launched a state of the art Internet of Things (IoT) Innovation Lab in Mumbai.
The Vi Business IoT Innovation Lab is all the way through the showcases for demonstrations across connected vehicles, smart grids for energy optimization, real-time manufacturing monitoring, and next-generation IoT solutions powered by edge AI.
"With the usage of the Vi Business IoT Innovation Lab, we are empowering the ecosystem of enterprises and start-ups with access to a hybrid infrastructure to co-create future-ready solutions," said Arvind Nevatia, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Vodafone India. "Along with giving India a leap in IoT technology, this partnership will also help us tap new avenues of innovation and thus, contribute to India’s digital progress."

VG Sundar Ram, Head of Business Development, AWS India & South Asia, also said, "When the power of AWS cloud and AI is combined with Vi’s signature quality of connectivity, the outcome is brilliant - businesses are able to launch next-generation IoT solutions easily and without time wastage."
Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO, C-DoT, mentioned that the lab will be a factor in facilitating the seamless integration of different devices, the strict following of India’s IoT standards, and also ensuring the security of data. India’s IoT device market which is currently worth $2.89 billion is slated to reach $10.28 billion by 2030, thereby registering a CAGR of 23.2%.
