India's emission-control challenge is not limited to bringing cleaner vehicles and equipment into the market. A large number of diesel-powered machines already operating across industries will continue to remain in service for years, making complete replacement expensive and, in many cases, impractical. Retrofit emission control devices offer a more immediate alternative by enabling existing engines to reduce emissions without replacing the entire system. This opportunity is particularly relevant for diesel generator sets, which remain widely used across commercial, industrial and infrastructure applications, while tighter emission norms have created demand for reliable retrofit solutions that can combine compliance, performance and reasonable ownership costs.
