9SEPTEMBER 2026Suzlon has secured a new 250 MW order from Torrent Green Energy. The deal could add momentum to Wind Power Projects across India. The latest order also takes the Suzlon-Torrent partnership beyond 1.3 GW. The order is Torrent Green Energy's sixth order from Suzlon. Torrent Green Energy is a Torrent Group company.The partnership now covers more than 1.3 GW across Gujarat, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.Suzlon will supply 76 S144 wind turbine generators for the project. Each turbine has a capacity of 3.3 MW. The company will also provide grid integration and long-term operations and maintenance services. India's data center push is gaining global attention as Minister Piyush Goyal pitches the country as a trusted destination for tech companies. During his visit to Japan, Goyal said India has secured investment commitments of about USD 200 billion from major hyperscalers worldwide.He also invited Japanese companies to partner with India across data centers, AI and semiconductors. The government has proposed a tax holiday for the data center segment until 2047, adding a long-term policy incentive for investors. The latest commitments show how India is positioning digital infrastructure as a strategic investment opportunity. Sigma Advanced Systems has secured a new long-term agreement worth nearly Rs 1,600 Cr from Rolls-Royce. The Rolls-Royce order strengthens Sigma's aerospace business and expands its role in the global aerospace supply chain.The agreement will be executed through Sigma's recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions. It follows an earlier Rs 3,800 Cr agreement with Rolls-Royce. The two agreements together are worth nearly Rs 5,400 Cr. The latest deal also expands Sigma's range of aerospace components supplied to the global engine maker. The space industry is entering another important phase in India as Finnish satellite company ICEYE formally establishes its Indian entity in New Delhi. The move brings advanced Earth observation and sovereign intelligence capabilities closer to Indian defense and intelligence customers while creating a pathway for local satellite manufacturing.ICEYE plans to build production capabilities in India using local suppliers, sourcing and engineering talent. The company will also explore partnerships across India's growing space and defense ecosystem. This expansion gives India's private space industry another global technology player and could strengthen domestic capabilities in satellite production, surveillance, environmental monitoring and space-based intelligence. Defense technology is gaining a direct route from startup development to military deployment as the Indian Army's Central Command partners with Hyderabad-based T-Hub.
