Apart from this move, Boeing is also a big support for policy reforms such as those in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) which could make India's manufacturing ecosystem even more robust.Salil Gupte, President of Boeing India & South Asia stated that the company keeps an eye on India's strategic goals and Rolls-Royce, a British aerospace and defence multinational, has inaugurated its 700-seat global capability and innovation centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, India, the largest and most advanced of its kind globally.The center will house a portion of the company's global digital expertise and enterprise services group, along with engineering teams that support the civil aerospace and defence sectors. This will help facilitate the company's plans for increasing its sourcing from India in the next five years. is always ready to work alongside India to achieve them. The way we source and the deals we enter will mostly be in line with these objectives", Gupte declared.Besides Boeing it already has established partnerships with Indian companies through various projects, such as maritime patrol systems, unmanned platforms, and defence equipment. Such partnerships demonstrate how Boeing is capitalizing on India's burgeoning industrial sector while supporting technology transfers, skill development, and local innovation.The Indian market remains the one where Boeing experiences the most significant growth rate changes year after year, as demand for commercial aviation and defense increases are the main reasons for this. According to the company, the rise in passenger traffic, renewal of the defense forces, and the government's push for local manufacturing are some of the major developments in India from which they expect to benefit considerably.Employing the strategy of associating with India's "Make in India" initiative and being a strong supporter of the GST reforms, Boeing intends to build the efficiency of the supply chain and up its competitiveness in the global aerospace sector. Patil noted that Bengaluru is one of the top three cities in the world for attracting foreign investments. In power systems and propulsion, leaders like Aequs and Collins Aerospace stand out. In structural and mechanical components, Wipro and Mahindra Aerospace are driving progress. In specialised technologies, Boeing, Airbus, and Pixxel are pioneers. And in end-manufacturing, Sarla and Tata Advanced Systems are making significant contributions", Patil said.He said that the Karnataka Aerospace & Defence Policy offers an attractive incentive package for investors. "Here, research institutions, global companies, and home-grown startups work together to advance technology and manufacturing," Patil added.Rolls-Royce chief financial officer Helen McCabe said: "India is significant to Rolls-Royce's global journey of innovation and progress.
