That is up from around 3035 percent in 2020. The shift could create a major opportunity for Indian auto component makers.The findings come from a BCG-ACMA report that examines major changes in India's auto component industry. It highlights how vehicles are becoming more electronic across both internal combustion engine and electric models. However, India's electrical and electronics segment accounted for only about 12 percent of component supply in FY25. VA Tech WABAG has secured a repeat order from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) in Jamnagar. The order falls in WABAG's Rs 100 crore to Rs 250 crore "Medium" domestic order category. The project will be executed at RIL's Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex (DAGEGC) in Jamnagar, Gujarat.WABAG will manage the project from design and engineering through manufacturing, supply, erection, and commissioning. The company is scheduled to complete the project within 13 months. The latest contract also strengthens WABAG's ongoing relationship with RIL. India's ambitious coal gasification push has hit an unexpected roadblock. The government created a Rs 37,500-crore incentive scheme to accelerate projects, strengthen energy security and reduce dependence on imported LNG, urea, methanol and other products.Yet, the scheme has attracted zero applications from both private and public sector players.
