With these agreements, the company's "Drone-as-a-Service" (DaaS) model has expanded significantly, especially in the vital mining industry.Garuda Aerospace has recently won contracts from the Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) and the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC), building on its prior successful partnership with Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. Additionally, the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) and the Department of Geology and Mining (DGM) of Tamil Nadu awarded contracts to the company. The company has also obtained tenders from the Jharkhand Exploration and Mining Corporation Limited (JEMCL), demonstrating its reach in that state. The main objective of these extensive agreements is to survey and oversee mine leases across the country using drones. Garuda Aerospace will supply quarterly updates on mining conditions (including faces, roads, slopes, and dumps), yearly surveys for comprehensive imagery and elevation models, and reliable data processing services as part of these contracts. For clients like the DGM of Tamil Nadu and GMDC, the Chennai-based company will also be crucial in developing digital databases needed for mine closure planning and producing accurate survey maps for decision-making that include both new and existing lease areas for long-term operational efficiency."These recent contract wins are a testament to the advanced capabilities of our drones. This represents a significant boost to our revenue stream, propelling our multi-million dollar growth," said Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace. India and the UAE have agreed to accelerate collaboration on industrial cooperation in green steel and high-grade aluminium production, considered in the context of clean energy transition and CEPA economic and trade expansion. The announcement followed Union Steel Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy's meeting with UAE Economy Minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri in Abu Dhabi. The discussions were to unlock opportunities for India and UAE with the UAE's low-carbon energy ecosystem in parallel with India's ever-expanding steel output targets aiming at 300 million tonnes by 2030. Prominent opportunities were identified for clean-tech enabled manufacturing and sectors with compelling growth potential include automotive, defence and aerospace."India and UAE can be strong partners in green steel production and sustainable industrial growth," Kumaraswamy said. "UAE can play a key role in helping India reach its 300 million tonne steel production target by 2030, particularly by supporting raw material security and enabling energy-efficient production systems."To facilitate the expanding partnership, a CEPA Joint Working Group on industrial cooperation will be constituted to establish mutual supply chains, technology exchange and energy-efficient industrial collaboration. The initiative reflects India's shift from viewing the UAE as a market to positioning it as a long-term strategic industrial ally.
