OCTOBER 20258PARAS DEFENCE SIGNS MoU FOR INERTIAL SOLUTIONSMOTORICA LAUNCHES DIGITAL PROSTHETICS PROGRAM IN INDIAParas Defence and Space Technologies experienced an increase of 1.43 percent, reaching 718.20, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cielo Inertial Solutions (CIELO), based in Israel. As part of the MoU, Paras Defence and CIELO will leverage their respective strengths to explore and pursue opportunities within India for the adaptation, marketing, sale, and production of inertial sensors and closed-loop FOG-based inertial solutions.Motorica, a prominent global med-tech company specializing in cutting-edge prosthetic solutions, has launched a new digital prosthetics program in India. The initiative is set to transform the way prosthetic limbs are created, manufactured, and distributed particularly in areas where access to personalized care is still limited.TOP STORIESThe program adopts a digital-first workflow for producing prosthetic arms, combining technologies such as 3D imaging, CAD (computer-aided design), and precision 3D printing.Rather than using traditional molding techniques and physically transporting casts, Motorica digitally captures the limb's dimensions, enabling remote customization and significantly faster turnaround times without compromising on quality or fit.All final design, fabrication, and assembly take place at Motorica's advanced manufacturing center in Moscow. The company's robust digital platform allows Indian clinicians to collaborate directly with engineers overseas, greatly reducing production delays while enhancing design precision.Early implementations in India have already demonstrated the approach's effectiveness. Local partner clinics used standard smartphone cameras to capture multiple images of patients' limbs. These photos were then converted into precise 3D models using photogrammetry, eliminating the need for costly scanning tools. The prosthetic devices were subsequently produced and delivered much faster than traditional methods allow. Paras Defence and Space Technologies (PDST) is pri-marily focused on the design, development, manufactur-ing, and testing of a diverse range of defence and space engineering products and solutions. The company serves four key sectors: defence & space optics, defence electron-ics, heavy engineering, and electromagnetic pulse protec-tion solutions. The company has reported a 1.1 percent increase in consolidated net profit, amounting to 14.27 crore, alongside an 11.5 percent rise in net sales to 93.19 crore for Q1 FY26, compared to Q1 FY25.The company possesses exclusive capabilities from Concept to Commissioning in the fields of Defence Electronics, Defence & Space Optics, and Defence Heavy Engineering. We are the sole manufacturer in India capable of producing Infrared Optics in large volumes. Our company has made significant contributions to many of the prestigious Defence & Space Programs in our nation. Our continuous growth over the past 40 years, dedicated solely to Defence Engineering, has allowed us to provide the most extensive range of products and solutions for defence applications, all under one roof and 100 percent manufactured in India.
