SEPTEMBER 20258EPSON EXPANDS INDIA OPERATIONS WITH LOCAL MANUFACTURINGTATA STEEL AWARDS PICKLING LINE CONTRACT TO JOHN COCKERILL INDIAEpson, a Japanese technology firm, has made India the center of its global strategy. The decision was based on the country's fast digital uptake, young population, and lively SME sector. The Indian branch of Epson has been more successful than many of its global colleagues, with a growth rate of over 10% per annum for the last ten years. This success has been mainly due to the strong demand for easy-to-use and environmentally friendly products like their EcoTank printers.TOP STORIESThe very important checkpoint of this event is the launch of the Epson manufacturing facility in the city of Chennai, which will start its production this coming October. This will be the first factory of ink tank printers in India that will bring along the benefits of improved local supply chains, decreased delivery times, and facilitation of over 8 million.Epson plans to expand its business beyond the printing field into robotics, textile printing, and visual displays. There will be solution centres in Bengaluru, Delhi, and other cities to support the expansion. The sustainability pledge of the undertaking is the setting of the main problem. To that end, the company has launched projects for the reduction of logistics emissions, promotion of eco-friendly printing, and the conversion of India's textile industry via water- and chemical-efficient digital textile solutions.Satyajeet Satpathy, Director Sales & Marketing, Epson India, shared the increased digital-first consumer demand that he experienced. This includes printers that are linked to cloud platforms, visual displays that can be used in hybrid learning, and projectors for home use that allow families to watch movies or play games while learning at home.
