9NOVEMBER 2025RBI EXTENDS EXPORT DEADLINES TO EASE TRADE DISRUPTION IMPACTOLA ELECTRIC BEGINS TEST RIDES WITH NEW 4680 BHARAT CELL TECHThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has rolled out a fresh set of relief measures today to help exporters weather mounting global trade disruptions.The move comes as Indian shipments continue to feel the heat from the steep 50% US tariff that took effect on August 27, tightening margins and slowing payment cycles.In a major relaxation, the RBI has now allowed exporters 15 months to bring back proceeds from Ola Electric has now started providing test rides of its vehicles which operate on its own in-house battery of 4680 Bharat Cell. This extension aims to ease the cash-flow strain many exporters are facing as they deal with delayed orders and higher compliance burdens under the new US tariff regime.The central bank has also expanded the timeline for shipment of goods. Exporters who receive advance payments will now have up to three years, instead of one, to complete the dispatch, offering much-needed breathing room in a disrupted global supply chain. This shift is expected to benefit sectors with long production cycles and those struggling with overseas logistics bottlenecks.Adding to the relief package, the RBI announced a temporary window for deferment of term-loan payments and working-capital interest falling due between September 1 and December 31, 2025. Banks have also been asked to reassess working-capital needs, giving companies more flexibility as they navigate uncertain demand.In another significant step, exporters now get 450 days to repay export credits disbursed by March 31, 2026. Relaxed norms have also been extended to those unable to dispatch goods against packing credits obtained by August 31, 2025.Together, these measures underline a strong policy push to support India's export sector at a time of deepening global headwinds. The battery pack has recently been provided with the ARAI approval according to the revised AIS -156 Amendment 4 standards issued by the ministry of road transport and highways. The certification is an assurance that the 5.2 kWh 4680 Bharat Cell is in compliance with the latest safety and performance requirements in the country.A spokesperson of the company claimed that drawing of public test rides is a milestone in the EV industry of India. The new technology introduces a distinct advancement in distance, power distribution and protection of the riders. The spokesperson further stated that providing an all-indigenous battery platform is indicative of the brand moving towards technological independence and accelerating the transition by India to cleaner mobility.The S1 Pro + has a 13kW motor and reaches 40km/h -1 within 2.1 seconds and a DIY mode with a 320km /h -1 IDC range. Riders are provided with four modes Hyper, Sports, Normal, Eco, dual ABS, disc brakes on all ends, comfort additions, including a redesigned seat, new mirrors, an aluminum grab handle, new rim graphics and a broader colour range.In addition to the S1 series, Ola Electric has the Roadster X line of a motorcycle. This maintains its existence within scooters as well as bikes with various battery options and at a reasonable price.
