The power producer offloaded 2.5 crore shares of JSW Steel through a block transaction on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), while continuing to retain a significant holding in the steelmaker.The transaction was completed on May 18, with JSW Energy selling 25 million equity shares of JSW Steel. According to company filings, the deal generated gross proceeds of nearly INR 3,150 crore. The move is seen as part of the company's broader strategy to optimise its investments and create room for expansion in high-growth areas, particularly renewable energy and power infrastructure. Royal Enfield INR 2,500 crore Andhra plant is set to play a key role in the company's future expansion plans as the motorcycle maker prepares to strengthen its manufacturing network amid growing demand. The iconic two-wheeler brand has proposed a greenfield manufacturing facility in Tada, Andhra Pradesh, aiming to expand production capacity and support long-term business growth while reinforcing its presence in southern India.Royal Enfield, owned by the Eicher Motors Group, plans to invest nearly INR 2,500 crore investment in establishing the new facility in Tada, located near the Andhra Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border. The project, however, is still awaiting board approval and will likely be developed in phases depending on market demand and production requirements. The waste-to-energy Pune's Ramtekdi Plant is set to start generating electricity by the end of June. This announcement by civic officials arrives nearly eight years after the project was first planned. Head of the solid waste management department, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Santosh Warule said, "The process of fund generation to start electricity production is under way now. It is expected to be completed soon." Officials have also expressed hope of securing Central financial assistance to push the project across the finish line. Pune's Ramtekdi Plant, which was designed to handle 350 tonnes of waste per day, had its deadline set for December 2025 before being extended by four months. Former head of PMC's solid waste management, Sandip Kadam, in June 2025, said that most civil works for the plant is complete and that they were hoping to generate electricity from April 2026, a target that has slipped further. Reliance-CATL battery talks signal a big renewable push ahead as Reliance Industries explores partnerships with Chinese battery giant CATL and other international suppliers for key battery energy storage systems components. The move comes as the company ramps up efforts to strengthen its renewable energy ecosystem and expand battery manufacturing capabilities in India. According to reports, the discussions are part of Reliance's wider strategy to build a stable supply chain for large-scale energy storage solutions that can support the country's clean energy transition. Reliance Industries is reportedly in discussions with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), one of the world's leading battery manufacturers, to source critical parts for battery energy storage systems.
