MAY 20268MAY 2026TOP STORIESmaking it one of the biggest tech infrastructure bets in India right now.The company aims to develop a massive 1.5 gigawatt (GW) capacity through multiple phases, with the first phase expected to deliver about 500 MW by 2028.The full project is likely to be completed by the end of the decade. This scale puts the project ahead of most existing data centre facilities in the country. India's AI-powered drones space took a big step forward today as ideaForge Technology announced a strategic partnership with Japan-based DMP to develop advanced unmanned systems. The collaboration focuses on building AI-powered drones that can process data in real time, making them faster, smarter, and more reliable in critical operations. The agreement brings together ideaForge's strength in drone design and manufacturing with DMP's expertise in edge AI and embedded computing. The goal is to create drones that can analyze visuals and make decisions mid-flight without depending heavily on cloud connectivity. This approach is expected to improve performance in environments where communication networks are weak or unavailable. Airports are no longer just transit points. For many travellers, they are part of the journey itself. Whether it is a short domestic trip or a long international layover, the way you spend your time at the airport can shape the overall travel experience. This is where lounge access becomes relevant. Instead of waiting in crowded seating areas, travellers can move to a more comfortable space. What has changed in recent years is how accessible this benefit has become. You no longer need premium memberships to access lounges. In many cases, your debit card can offer the same convenience. That said, not all debit cards offer lounge access in the same way. The features, limits, and eligibility conditions can vary, which makes it important to understand how these cards work. The Indian government is planning to revise its Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme for semiconductor chip design to make it more practical and effective for startups and technology firms. The proposed changes are aimed at improving how incentives are distributed and ensuring that government support leads to commercially successful chip products. The DLI scheme is part of India's larger India Semiconductor Mission. Introduced to encourage local chip design and reduce dependence on imports, the programme supports domestic companies working on electronics manufacturing India and innovation. The initiative is also expected to strengthen the semiconductor industry in India over the long term.Officials familiar with the discussions say the government is reviewing the current structure of the scheme to make funding more performance-based. Instead of offering incentives mainly during development stages, future support may be tied to product success, market adoption, or revenue generation. This could further boost government semiconductor incentives for emerging companies. The Indian government has launched a major fertiliser import tender to strengthen nutrient reserves ahead of the upcoming kharif sowing season. The move is aimed at ensuring farmers have access to adequate agricultural inputs during one of the busiest farming periods of the year.Under the tender, India plans to import around 85 million tonnes of fertiliser nutrients. This includes nearly 50 million tonnes of NPK fertilisers -- which contain nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium -- and about 35 million tonnes of ammonium sulphate. These nutrients are essential for improving soil fertility and supporting crop growth.Reliance data centre cluster plans are set to reshape India's digital infrastructure as Reliance Industries moves ahead with building the country's largest data centre hub in Andhra Pradesh. The project will come up in Visakhapatnam and involves an investment of around Rs 1.6 lakh crore, IDEAFORGE JOINS JAPAN'S DMP TO BUILD AI-POWERED DRONESDEBIT CARDS WITH AIRPORT LOUNGE ACCESS: FEATURES AND ELIGIBILITYRELIANCE DATA CENTRE CLUSTER PLAN TRANSFORMS ANDHRA TECH HUBGOVT CONSIDERS CHANGES TO CHIP DESIGN INCENTIVE SCHEME IN INDIAINDIA FLOATS MEGA FERTILISER TENDER AHEAD OF KHARIF SEASON
