The partnership aims to tap the country's growing passenger vehicle market and rising demand for high-value tyres.Under the agreement, BKT will manufacture Pirelli-branded premium car tyres at a newly constructed plant. The facility will use advanced technology and follow Pirelli's specified technological and quality standards. The companies also plan to establish a 50:50 joint venture in the second phase. The proposed venture will build a dedicated facility to manufacture high-value car tyres under both brands, subject to certain conditions. Tata Power is setting up Odisha's first policy-led GCC with an initial investment of Rs 54.31 crore. The center will develop digital solutions for the power and energy sector. It is expected to become fully operational within the next three months and create 110 high-skill jobs in the state. The center is being established in Khordha district under the Odisha Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy, which was unveiled last year. The policy aims to attract more than Rs 1,000 crore in investments across seven regional hubs, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Paradip, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur. A senior Tata Power executive said the investment would primarily cover information technology infrastructure, software licenses, office setup, and manpower. These resources will help the company build the technology and talent base needed to support its operations. AI vehicle testing is emerging as an important tool for automotive manufacturers seeking to manage the growing complexity of vehicle development. HCLTech's launch of an artificial intelligence-powered Verification and Validation (V&V) solution, built on NVIDIA's simulation technologies, brings this challenge into focus. The service is aimed at vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers who want automated software validation, broader testing coverage and sped-up release cycles.Manufacturers are under immense pressure to meet software testing and compliance requirements as vehicles' connected features and electronic systems rely heavily on software. Virtual simulation could help address these pressures by reducing reliance on physical tests, although its actual impact on automotive engineering costs will depend on implementation and measurable results. Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd plans to invest Rs 25 crore in a new high-voltage cable manufacturing line at its Vadodara facility. The company, which operates under the DICABS brand, will use the investment to manufacture cables rated up to 132 kV.
