Godrej Consumer Products has expanded its manufacturing setup in Malanpur, Madhya Pradesh, with a Rs 480 crore investment in its fourth unit at the site. The company has operated the 65-acre facility since 1991 and has now taken its total investment in Malanpur beyond Rs 850 crore.The latest expansion adds capacity for soaps, hair colours and household insecticides while introducing faster production lines and automated operations. The company expects the expanded facility to generate around Rs 3,800 crore in revenue once it reaches full capacity. The investment also strengthens Malanpur's position within Godrej Consumer's wider FMCG manufacturing network and adds another layer to its long-term production strategy. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has invited proposals to accelerate the adoption of concentrating solar thermal (CST) technology for industrial heating. The project offers financial support of up to 50 percent of the project costs, capped at Rs 2 crores per project.
