9NOVEMBER 2025SKODA TO IMPORT MORE GLOBAL MODELS IN INDIA, EVS ON HOLDVIKRAN WINS 1,641 CR SOLAR POWER PROJECT IN MAHARASHTRAVikran Engineering has announced the acceptance of the Letter of Award (LOA) dated 10 November 2025 from Carbonminus Maharashtra One Private (SPV) for a sum of Rs. 1641.91 crore.This award pertains to the development of 505 MWAC Capacity Crystalline Ground Mounted Solar PV Technology Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Plants under the MSEDCL LIS scheme across various districts in Maharashtra, facilitated by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL).VIKRAN is recognized as one of the rapidly expanding Indian Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies, demonstrating a swift growth trajectory with a projected turnover of 500 Cr. for the fiscal year 2019-2020. However, to excite the market, as we did with Octavia this year, we are also planning to get some more global, iconic cars into India next year," Skoda Auto India Brand Director Ashish Gupta told.Skoda has its best-ever performance in India so far, selling 61,607 units from January to October 2025, beating its previous full-year record of 53,721 units in 2022. The company is targeting to keep its 2 percent domestic passenger vehicle market share. Gupta also mentioned that the sales momentum generated by GST reforms is expected to continue till the festive season and year-end.The company plans to expand the Kylak range with more trims while updating Kushaq and Slavia to keep the portfolio fresh. On its electric vehicle strategy, Gupta said, "We do have a very large EV portfolio worldwide. But from my point of view, the last year, there have been so many uncertainties in the market... whether it is the FTA discussions, whether it is the EV policy and all, it's becoming very challenging to have a stable plan.".
