It is also a noteworthy event for the State of Bihar, which will benefit the most from this addition to the grid.seeded rice (DSR) farming, aiding in decreasing water consumption, minimizing methane emissions, and enhancing overall efficiency of resources when compared to traditional transplanting practices in rice farming.Under this agreement, Rallis India will launch FullPage, a cutting-edge rice technology aimed at boosting productivity, improving weed management effectiveness, and offering significant water and cost reductions for farmers in India.Gyanendra Shukla, CEO and managing director of Rallis India, stated: We at Rallis India are dedicated to empowering Indian farmers through innovative and sustainable technologies that tackle important agricultural issues. Partnering with Paryan for FullPage technology strengthens our commitment to providing climate-smart solutions that improve productivity while supporting resource efficiency and environmental sustainability.Shirish Barwale, executive director of Paryan, stated: We are excited to collaborate with Rallis India, a respected entity in Indian agriculture. Given Ralli's robust presence and strong ties with farmers, we anticipate speeding up the use of FullPage technology, enhancing the efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of rice farming. The Buxar Thermal Power Project is 1320 MW (2x660 MW) in capacity and is being built by SJVN Thermal Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, in Chausa, Buxar district. The project uses supercritical technology to provide greater efficiency, while reducing emissions compared with conventional coal-fired units. With Unit-1 commencing commercial operations, the project will produce 9,828.72 million units of electricity each year with both units being available for operation. The energy boost will be significant for Bihar. Under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement, the state has secured 85% of the project's output. This allocation is expected to ease peak-hour shortages and improve supply stability across the eastern region. For an area that has long required stronger power infrastructure, the Buxar Thermal Power Project provides both immediate relief and long-term support for industrial and residential demand. With today's COD milestone, SJVN reinforces its position in India's thermal power landscape and demonstrates steady progress toward meeting rising national demand. As the second unit advances toward completion, the project stands as one of the most important power sector developments for the region this year.
