9NOVEMBER, 2025GODREJ DELIVERS ISRO'S FIRST HUMAN-RATED L110 VIKAS ENGINE STAGEThe Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) received the first human-rated L110 stage Vikas engine from Godrej's aerospace division on Thursday for the Gaganyaan project.Isro intends to send the first Indian astronauts into orbit on a homemade rocket in 2027, while the first unmanned test flight under the Gaganyaan project is scheduled for early next year."This achievement reaffirms our long-standing partnership with ISRO and Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), and showcases our capability to deliver mission-critical technology that strengthens India's leadership in space exploration," Maneck Behramkamdin, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Godrej Enterprises Group's aerospace business, said in a statement.For over 40 years, Godrej has supported India's space program by providing high-precision engines and parts for historic missions like Chandrayaan and NISAR. The crew module carrying Indian astronauts will be transported by the human-rated LVM-3 to orbit the Earth and return safely as part of the Gaganyaan mission."This is not just a milestone for Godrej Enterpris-es Group, but also a matter of immense national pride.
