The order is a landmark for Ashok Leyland as it further strengthens the growing association between the two companies and positions Ashok Leyland as a mobility partner of choice for the logistics sector.Cummins India has officially launched Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) furthering India's movement towards clean energy. The modular BESS systems offered by Cummins India can scale from 200 kWh to 2 MWh and are offered in a compact 10-ft and 20-ft container system, which benefit sectors such as manufacturing, data centers, mining, and commercial buildings.The BESS systems utilize lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries to offer high thermal stability, long battery life, and three tiers of fire protection safety features. Each system is plug-and-play design which provides a fast rollout option for businesses to include renewable energy inputs far more easily to their current power setup by integrating energy generation options like solar and wind - allowing businesses to reduce their electricity bills.Systems such as peak shaving, energy shifting, and increased grid resilience can assist businesses in lowering their electricity costs, while enabling India to achieve its 2070 net-zero emissions goal. The handover ceremony was launched by Sanjeev Kumar, MHCV President, Ashok Leyland, transferring the first fleet of 100 trucks to Rajbir Singh Chaudhary, Chairman, Instant Transport Solution.The ceremony, attended by both organization's leading officials, was testimony to the unprecedented collaboration between the two.Sanjeev Kumar stated, "We are pleased to deliver the first consignment of our 1916 single-axle and 2820 multi-axle haulage trucks. This transaction is a proof of the resilience and innovation of our trucks. Such collaborations are important as we aspire to bring the technology and efficiency of the logistics industry to new heights."Instant Transport Solution's Executive Chairman Rajbir Singh Chaudhary said Ashok Leyland's after-sales facilities and service network were crucial to improve the operational efficiency of their units. He underlined that the order not only increases their fleet size but also solidifies the long-term alliance with the objective of improving the logistics business.Instant Transport Solution, a 3PL and e-commerce firm, has more than 2,100 trucks in its ownership.
